The Best of KISD 2023 booklet showcases the selection of bachelor’s and master’s theses nominated for the Cologne Design Prize 2023. The Cologne Design Prize is awarded annually to outstanding bachelor’s and master’s theses from Cologne’s design schools (KISD, ecosign, and KHM) and presented at the Museum of Applied Arts Cologne.

Published for the first time since the 2019 edition, the booklet marks the revival of an important editorial publication documenting creative work, thematic diversity, and design quality of KISD students. I initiated the revival of the publication and developed a new visual identity alongside editorial design. In addition to creating the layout, I was responsible for editing and curating the content, coordinating communication with graduates, and managing the process from concept to production.

Through typography, layout, and visual hierarchy, I developed a coherent editorial system that gives every project equal attention while creating greater visual prominence for the Cologne Design Prize winners through additional space and a differentiated layout.
